Abortion

The type of abortion available to you will depend on gestational age and preference:

• Medical abortion- up to 10 weeks after a missed period
• Dilation and curettage with vacuum aspiration- up to 13 weeks after a missed period
• Dilation and evacuation- after 13 weeks after a missed period
• Abortion by Labor Induction- 16 weeks gestation and up

The first step in determining which procedure you are looking at is to obtain an ultrasound which will tell you exactly how you far along you are. PRC provides free ultrasounds to determine gestational age and verify the viability of your pregnancy.
